Experience
After completing a degree in Sports Science in 1999, and working as a physical training instructor, I went on to complete my physiotherapy degree at the University of Birmingham. After qualifying in 2003 I completed my junior rotations in Portsmouth covering inpatient and orthopaedics, neurological patients, elderly care, respiratory care and musculoskeletal problems. I worked with Rugby teams as well as working in a local private clinic.
I completed a post-graduate diploma in western musculoskeletal acupuncture in 2004, and have been practising clinical Pilates since 2007, at which time I relocated to Worcester. After having two children I became a qualified APPI Clinical Pilates instructor in 2013.
I continue to teach Pilates in north Worcester and Ombersley areas and am expanding my practice into Clinical Yoga, for which I attained my teaching qualification for last year.
I am a manual therapist with an expertise in exercise prescription, the combination of which I feel gives me the best outcomes when treating people with musculoskeletal symptoms.
Penni has recently set up a new you tube channel as well which is definitely worth a visit for great advice on exercise set up and muscle release.
